Anime Review with DC : Blood C

If you love blood and gore anime, then Blood-C is the anime that you looking for~ Presented by CLAMP(Same as XXHolic and Tsubasa Chronicle series) ! Just like other "Blood" series, the main character was named Saya. Just that the family name changed in every series. For this series, Saya Kisaragi appeared to be a shrine maiden and a student at first. Having a normal school life, ordinary friend, normal priest father. But her secret job was to kill a human-eating monster named Furukimono "The Old Ones" with a holy sword of the shrine. But what awaits her in the future? Let us go to the summary...

SUMMARY (SPOILER ALERTS)

On the first episode, it starts with a long draggy introduction of blood, blood, then characters. Mostly about Saya's father-Tadayoshi, Coffee shop owner and neighbour-Fumito, Classmates- Yuka, Nono with Nene (Twins), Itsuki the class president, Shin'ichiro, and teacher Kanako. With these character talking for the whole episode really is boring like hell -.-. But when the episode reaches the final few minutes, Saya was assigned by his dad to kill the so-called Furukimono. The battle scenes and animation were quite good, but the finishing move was too simple, I mean TOO FAST. Just by changing her eye-color, a critical hit will be made.
Ownage time...

For the next 3 episode, it's the damn same story arc as the 1st one. School life then secret killing mission. The only different was a talking dog (Seems to be Watanuki Kimihiro from XXXHolic , crossover much?) appeared and keep saying some stuff about "Who did you promise to?"

Up until the 5th episode, she suddenly had some headache and visions about something about floating blood bottle. And this time, the Furukimono's design was much more freaky than usual. It's an EYEBALL!!! Still, CRITICAL KiLL!

After that back to the class on the next day, the teacher tells a horror story that claimed that something weird would happen if someone listen to it. While getting to the good part, Saya fainted ... That lead to the next day, while Nene(one of the twins) went to visit Saya a Furukimono appeared! And here comes episode 6,7,8,9,10 of Bloody Shit Episode~!

In these episodes, everyone who listen to the story get killed by Furukimono ONE BY ONE. First , Nene(Episode6), then Nono (Episode 7), then some irrelevant civilians(Episode 7), 99% of her classmates! (Episode 8,9)

The one that kill 99% of her classmates

While watching the episodes, It's really disturbing that white fogs and censored box appear out of no where to cover some bloody part. Not once, not twice, but for the whole episode!

Nice Try, But you FAILED! Well, at least the president survived.

FUUUUU... FOGS!!! Btw, that's Yuka

For some extra infoin episode 10, one of the good-looking guy in her class Shin'ichiro confessed his feeling to Saya. Which as first think that, So that's why he get to survived the massacre of the school. Well, cause he's wasn't in school that time! Well, he still get killed in that episode as well by a flying head with her backbone attached...
BackBones... BRAINZZZ.....

Again with episode 10, The So-Called Story started in my opinion. Cause Saya discovered that all books that should be detailing the Furukimono in the shrine are all empty. And then A BIG TURN AROUND! Some main character that were supposed to be dead appeared in front of Saya!
The bad guys... Teacher, Nono, Nene, and Shin'ichiro!?
You Bastard.. I though you're one of the good ones.

This time, everything is clearly stated. About what is this story about. Apparently, Saya was a Furukimono as well, except that she does not eat humans. The town where Saya lived, her life was entirely just an act ,a project. She was then forced by them to drink the blood of Furukimono and here comes some classic "Who Are You" moment as she starting to regain her memories. Then again, something unexpected showed up. Yuka, Itsuki and Fumito came to the rescue? Heck no... The organizer of this project was actually Fumita-san!? As the shit starting to get confuse, A rain-deer looked Furukimono appeared.

Up until episode 12! The Final episode, everything starting to make sense now. As Saya had completely regained her memory,Saya finally remembers that, having been captured by Fumito, she had her memories altered and was put on a stage to feed on Furukimonos as a test to see if she would change. Fumito has the Furukimono to kill Shinichiro, Nene and Nono for disobeying their orders. Saya kills the Furukimono before it can kill Kanako, but she is instead killed by Takayoshi who is revealed to be half-Furukimono that has gone beserk from drinking Saya's blood.

Before I continue, I need to state out that this is by far the funniest episode I watched until now. Cause it gives me the feel that the producer like wanna throw everything they have into one episode. All the bloody moment suddenly got so realistic and the scenes are like.. What the hell!?
Watching Nene(or Nono?) getting ripped into half is seriously mentally tormented(Even with the fogs)

While Saya almost get defeated by Tokayoshi, her sword suddenly shines. And defeated Takayoshi in an instants... FATALITY... Oh, before I forgot, she had her eye in bloody-red mode all the time after she regained her memory. After killed her beloved "Father", she was seriously pissed by Fumito's plot and tries to kill him. Hmm... Nice try, but sadly stop by bunch of people with guns. Itsuki, who fell in love with Saya sacrificed himself in the rain of bullets to save her. Before that, Another special Furukimono which is sliced into half by Saya suddenly revived and multiplied went to attack the fake town.

Mommy~!

In the attack, I can't denied the creativity of the  producer. Cause it was so creative that the Furukimono got different method of eating humans. At first, I saw the classic grab and bite; then bite the head off and squish out the blood; some poke the humans with their fingers and make a human Satay; and finally the most genius idea to be think of. Stuffing them into a container and BLEND Them!!! The people also look kinda funny when they ran and shouted " This Is Not How It Says In The Contract!!! "

blood-c-1202.jpg (592×340)

In the end, Cutting through the Monsters Carnival, Saya uses her godly strength to chase Fumito and Yuka. It's very enjoyable to see how she ran and jumped through buildings just cut the chopper!
But sadly, Fumito was too smart to be a villian. He expected that and shot Saya with a handgun which make a HOLE in Saya's left eye.

Eventually , Saya survived the shot. What happens next really drove me into great suspense. She ripped some cloth from her skirt and covered her eye like the picture above. Then, she throw away her so-called holy sword (actually just a normal sword as the story tells) as it had broken and ran to the city (Tokyo perhaps?).

After watching the final episode, I've been wondering. Why did the ending lead to no where? Thanks to a friend named Google, I found out that Blood-C : the movie (Somewhere July 2012) will show Saya's Search and Kill process.

Time for some evaluation, Story → 4/10 Cause to draggy, Animation_from 5/10 to 8/10 Thanks to the final episode, Overall?

6.5/10
I enjoyed the action sequence despite how suck it was at the beginning.

That's All Folks :D Hope you enjoy the Review and Summary...

lời tạm biệt Việt Nam (Day5) Finale

Well, the last day in Vietnam. Nothing much to say except for some shopping in Cho Binh Tay ("bin tai")market at Ho Chi Minh city. Also one of the boring trip for guys, enjoyable trip for women. I had been wasting my 2 hours walking around in this "pasar" while my mother and my aunt both happily spread their wings to hunt some goods before we went back to Malaysia. At that point, there was nothing for me to capture cause there's nothing special in that market -_-

Boring Market...

For the rest of the day? Waiting in the airport...

Cause there's nothing for me to write to describe my last day in Vietnam...
And thus, this is the end of my trip in Vietnam...

Tiring, Relax Then Stress!!! Day4

Finally, it's time for Day4. Having a fitful sleep in a 4-star hotel, it's time to move on. Nearby the hotel, there's a holy mountain which is the Jesus Monument Mountain. It was one of the most tiring trip ever, cause we actually had to climb up there step-by step. Plus, it's was higher than the canopy walk in FRIM.

I'm Coming Jesus!!!

Along the way, we can see there's many sculpture of people from the Holy Bible. And of course, some great view of the city cause we're on a damn mountain...

I'm not a christian so I had no idea who she was.

City view? Or sea?

Booyah! I'm the first one to arrive.

We were given an hour to explore the mountain then we good to go. Next, we went to the ex-president's holiday mansion which was the most boring trip ever. The so-called "White-House of Vietnam", was a holiday mansion that is owned by *I've kinda forgot... By the way, it' now open for us to visit and it was all about history, history and more history...

Soon after that, we were given free time to enjoy the beach until 1pm as we had to endure 2 hour of bus ride to Ho Chi Minh city once again. The schedule next was pretty simple. Going to a furniture store, dinner then Massage. Yes, Massage.

To be honest, It was quite stimulating cause the woman-in charged to massage me was kinda hot. With shorts and casual attire   :Q____

After the Stimulating + Relaxing Massage, all of us though this would be a great ending for our trip. But we were so wrong. For you info, the massage center had about 5 floor. While the guys were in the 5th and 6th floor, and the women were in the 4th floor. And the staircase was seriously steep!!! Just after the massage, an auntie with the age of 70+ FELL DOWN FROM THE STAIRS!!! AND I WITNESS THE WHOLE PROCESS !

While everyone was stunned, I was the first one to check her status (And i'm not exaggerating). But what I found was a semi-conscious old lady who lied on a pool of blood. I think I was kinda stupid as I placed my hand below her head ><... Argh... BLOOD!!!

Apparently, it took about 5 strong macho guys to carry her to a cab cause she's kinda *you know. That night, everyone were trying so hard to console her  husband that she would be alright. Apparently she did. With 4 stitches on her head. Ouch...

Booby-Traps!!! Day3

Alright, that day was a long but short journey. It actually need to take more than 2 hour from Ho Chi Mihn city to a ex-battlefield named Ku-Chi City. That place was once a battleground of Vietnam citizens (Farmer, hunter, and other "Kampung" style occupation) against the US army. At first when we entered, we were asked to watch some boring video about how they fight, running underground, digging tunnels, living underground. Which kinda reminds me of people who live underground in an anime "Gurren Lagann"

For this underground is too damn spacious...

Walking around the city (which I prefer call it as forest), there were many traps which is shown to us. With the fences around the trap, there's impossible for us to fall or it (Unless some Joker try to bet their life).

Entrance

An entrance to the underground tunnels, you can try to experience it if you want (Not recommended for fat people)

Some typical trap which you can normally watch from cartoons, but this below there, sharp metal stick can kill you.

Guess, are these real? Or some fake dummy?

The US tank that is used to trigger or detect traps.

Traps, traps and more traps!!!

For your information, I have tried to enter the tunnel before. Seriously, it was a difficult walk. Cause inside the tunnel, the environment was stuffy& dark. And the end-point was far away from the starting-point. As some of us (Youngster) travel through the tunnel, I just hope that people at the front row don't fart in this stuffy place.

Screw this shit!!!

After that, we just follow the bus and there goes another 2 hour of ride to Vung Tau city. Which is a beautiful and clean place. And today, we get to check in into a 4 Star Hotel. Instead of getting happy of it, I was seriously pissed by it. The heater is not working; the door cannot be locked; the shampoo bottle cannot be opened at all !!!

For the rest of the day, we just sit back and relax in our room. While I had watch Avatar, and the Last Airbender at night :D

Xin chào Việt Nam Day 2 (Part 2)

Humans are like remote-controlled car. They can't move without their battery. As soon as we finished our lunch, it's time to move on. And this time, It's one of the times where I hated the most -.-... Temple visiting. In every trip, there will always be at least one temple to visit(Which I there's practically nothing to watch). This time we will set foot in the Mazu's temple (Never know that they also believe in Mazu from Taiwan). But before that, our tour guide let us take some shot on some random god statue around somewhere random.

The god statue is under-maintenance o.0..

In about 30 minutes, we reached the Mazu (aka. Queen of Heaven) temple. Not too flashy though, cause we need to walk across some unaware alley in order to reach the temple.

So many things hanged on the rack...

It's Mazu :D

Alright, let's skip this part cause there's nothing I can do except standing there looking everywhere like an idiot. Oh, by the way, the statue of Guan Gong and Chai Shen also near the temple.

Ok, next destination is gonna be interesting. We gonna visit the War Museum in Ho Chi Minh city. Upon reaching the entrance, I was stunned immediately.

Cause this is a real life tank man!

And there were many more War Machines inside the museum remaining from the Vietnam war . From Anti-Aircraft Vehicle to War-plane, what an epic place!
But no matter how epic this place was, there was something really awkward that caught my attention. There were some victims of Agent Orange working there. For your information, Agent Orange is the code name for one of the herbicides and defoliants used by the U.S. military as part of its herbicidal's warfare program, Operation Ranch Hand, during the Vietnam War from 1961 to 1971. Vietnam estimate 400,000 people being killed or maimed, and 500,000 children born with birth defects .
As I heard from our tour guide, when a person got attack by these weapon; even though he survived; his next generation will be born defected. And this effect remain for 3 generation.

Just look how war practically destroyed their life.

The exhibition can be divided into 3 floor. The ground floor is the history of the war. The second floor is about war-crime and aftermath. While the third floor is about rebuilding the country. Since I took too much picture about it it's better if you look into the album yourself. Click here → Facebook Album.

For the rest of the day, Water Puppet show, Notre Dame Cathedral, Statue of Mr. Ho Chi Minh, and Dinner in the cruise.

Well, that's about it for 1st day. Stay tuned for day 2 *Troll detected//

Xin chào Việt Nam Day 2 (Part 1)

Well, after having a good sleep with an uncomfortable low pillow; It's time to get ready for the trip. But breakfast comes first. I had expect that there will be Buffet like the most hotel got. Oh, by the way, i'm staying in a 3 Star hotel named Arc En Ciel. Funny name. The breakfast? Fine and satisfying, cause my favorite coffee is available.

Simple yet satisfying Buffet :D

Looking outside the window, it's a normal city life with a normal traffic jam. But the traffic jam is totally different with our country Malaysia. Malaysia is filled with cars;Vietnam is filled with motorcycles.

Yup, Motorcycles.

After the meal, it's time to go to Mekong Delta. This was a relaxing trip (Really o.0?)
On arrival at the jetty at My Tho ("Mee Tho") [about 1 1/2 hours from the city] we were taken by medium-size boat to Unicorn Island. Before we go, there's something interesting to take picture of  :p

Haha, Sleeping fisherman.

Upon arriving the island, it's time for us tourists to be deceive by delicious looking thing. We were introduced for some coconut made product. Candy, soap and etc can be bought there. And there accept US dollar & Malaysia RM. How thoughtful of them.

We were also being "treated" for some candied food (lotus seed, banana, peanut and ginger) & honey. Of course, it's depend on you whether you wanna buy it or not.

Walking on, we stopped by an area where we enjoyed some tropical food (Dragon-fruit, watermelon, etc). And some entertainer as well. Well, I expected that cause these kind of street performers would appeared where tourists visit a place. And it's obviously that we had to give some tips as their reward. Too bad, I offered 6 Malaysia 50sen and got rejected -.-

Oh great, singing something that I barely understand...

Lucky that it happened to rain after they singed 2 song, cause I don't want to listen to old folks song -.-(With some language that I don't know). After the rain had stopped, another boat ride was waiting for us- this time in a small sampan.

Row the boat bitches :D

Done with the sampan ride, done with the medium-size boat, then it's gonna be another trip to a restaurant nearby for lunch. The lunch was really exotic :D

Hmm.. The so-called Dino Egg. But it's actually Nian Gao (Chinese Steam New Year Cake?)

Deep Fried "Standing" Fish aka, Elephant Fish  o.0.. Now that's exotic.

To be honest, about the waitress in that restaurant. Based on their attire, you might want to imagine her as a underwear model. Cause with a traditional Vietnam attire and it's made out of thin materials, you can see through her cloth  :\ . . . Seriously!

Well, stay tuned for part 2
